The Association held a networking evening this month instead of its regular meeting. All Bathroom Gear sponsored and hosted the evening.

Thank you to Maureen and Henri Van Roden for the use of their fabulous showroom and their hospitality. It is certainly worth a visit to All bathroom Gear and to talk with Maureen or Henri about the range of services they provide. Thank you also to Paul Ryan from ANZ for his organization of the networking evening.

Prior to the function the Executive Committee of the Association held a meeting. At our meeting we discussed engaging someone to manage our website and we decided to discuss this with our Web Designer Val Cassimatis. We will arrange for a speaker to update the association on the sewerage upgrade.

We have received a response from Councillor Helen Abrahams concerning the planning thesis submitted to her for consideration. We have asked Councillor Abrahams to speak to the Association about her views on the comments in the thesis for future development of the Woolloongabba precinct and requested that she pass on the thesis to the planning department and Councillor Cooper who is the Councillor responsible for that department.

We also discussed progress with the proposed Street Festival. You will recall that Wendy Lacey from Team Lacey Consultancy and Steve Hammond have been investigating a Woolloongabba Festival. The Festival is planned for next year about April or May and planning is now ongoing. We would like to form a small committee to assist Steve and Wendy and people interested should email us to notify of your interest.

We have continued to monitor the Cross river Link and the development of the Go Print site but there has not been any significant developments there.
